Title: The Wildlife Amendment Regulations, 2014 (No. 2)

Summary: On filing date, these regulations will amend RRS W-13.1 Reg 1 to:

  • create a single moose licence for all guided moose hunters regardless of residency;
  • harmonize the terminology with the recently amended Wildlife Management Zones and Special Areas Boundaries Regulations, 1990;
  • clarify that the use of unmanned or “drone” aircraft is unlawful for hunting;
  • expand the definition of a loaded firearm to include a muzzleloading rifle;
  • clarify issues regarding the export of big game trophies; and
  • align definitions with current wildlife naming conventions, enable consequential and housekeeping amendments.
