Title: The Traffic Safety Act Fees Amendment Regulations, 2014

Minister: Minister Responsible for Saskatchewan Government Insurance

Summary: (1) Subject to subsection (2), these regulations come into force on the day on which section 1 of The Traffic Safety Amendment Act, 2014 comes into force.

(2) If section 1 of The Traffic Safety Amendment Act, 2014 comes into force before the day on which these regulations are filed with the Registrar of Regulations, these regulations come into force on the day on which they are filed with the Registrar of Regulations.

These regulations will amend RRS T-18.1 Reg 3 to:

  • establish a fee for a driver’s participation in an alcohol and drug education program;
  • establish a fee to appeal an administrative decision modifying the length of a driver’s ignition interlock program to the Highway Traffic Board;
  • set out the fee to appeal a roadside suspension for drinking and driving to the Highway Traffic Board; and
  • set out the fee an applicant must pay if they require a re-hearing by the Highway Traffic Board.
