Title: Economy and Tourism Saskatchewan – Outstanding Items (Transfer of Agreements, One-time Grant and Amendment to Funding Agreement)

Summary: Orders that:

(a) the agreements listed in Schedule A be transferred from the Government of Saskatchewan, as represented by the Minister Responsible for Tourism Saskatchewan, to Tourism Saskatchewan;

(b) the Minister Responsible for Tourism Saskatchewan is approved to provide a grant to Tourism Saskatchewan in an amount not to exceed $1,720,000, for the purpose of:

     (i) outstanding operating costs related to the transfer of the agreements noted in clause (a); and

     (ii) operating costs, including salary, related to the employees transferred in accordance with clause 27(2)(b) of The Tourism Saskatchewan Act from the former Tourism Initiatives branch of the Ministry of the Economy to Tourism Saskatchewan effective January 1, 2013; and

(c) the Minister Responsible for Tourism Saskatchewan is approved to enter into an amending agreement, on behalf of the Government of Saskatchewan, with Tourism Saskatchewan, substantially in the form of the attached Schedule B, for the purpose of amending the funding agreement made effective April 1, 2010, with Tourism Saskatchewan respecting the development and promotion of tourism in Saskatchewan, in order to increase the annual grant payment to Tourism Saskatchewan under that agreement in an annual amount of $200,000 for the duration of the term of the agreement commencing with fiscal 2012-2013.
