Summary: Orders that the Minister of Corrections, Public Safety and Policing is approved to enter into an Agreement, on behalf of the Government of Saskatchewan, substantially in the form of the attached Schedule A, with Sturgeon Lake First Nation, Wahpeton Dakota Nation, Montreal Lake Cree Nation and Lac La Ronge Indian Band, as represented by their respective Chiefs and Councils, whereby the Government of Saskatchewan agrees to provide funding in the amount of $53,544.47 for the period from April 1, 2011 to March 31, 2012, and, subject to passage of The Appropriation Act, in the amount of $53,544.47 for the period from April 1, 2012 to March 31, 2013 for the continuation of community services in support of the provision of effective, professional and culturally appropriate policing services through the RCMP First Nations Community Policing Service, consistent with Canada’s First Nations Policing Policy.
