Title: Big Island Lake Cree Nation Grant for $250,000 – Traditional Use and Occupancy Study

Minister: Minister of First Nations and Métis Relations

Summary: Orders that the Minister of First Nations and Métis Relations is approved to provide a grant, in a total amount not to exceed Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dollars ($250,000), to Big Island Lake Cree Nation, subject to such terms and conditions as the Minister may prescribe, for expenses incurred to complete a traditional land use and occupancy study, including geographical information system (GIS) mapping of resulting study data, in response to government initiated consultation activities regarding proposed projects in the Big Island Lake Cree Nation’s traditional territory in the Province of Saskatchewan.
