Saint-Laurent, Manitoba: Evolving Metis Identities, 1850-1914
Description:

Traditionally its people, history and development have been viewed as typical of the Catholic Metis parishes of the Red River Settlement. This study contends that Saint-Laurent differs in three fundamental ways.
