Community Justice Committees

A Community Justice Committee (CJC) is a group of citizen volunteers who work with police and other justice professionals to:

• Advise police and other justice professionals on justice matters in their community;
• Provide public education on justice-related topics to the community;
• Support crime prevention activities in the community; and
• Provide conflict resolution opportunities to members of the community where the law has been broken.
