Offer financial details of the annual Provincial Budget. Published in March of each year. Documents include the Budget Book, Estimates and Supplementary Estimates.
Before the beginning of each fiscal year (April 1), a budget outlining the Government's plan for spending and raising money is introduced into the Saskatchewan Legislature for approval.
The first step in approving a budget is the Budget Address, read by the Minister of Finance. It outlines the Government's financial plan for the
upcoming year, discusses the condition of Saskatchewan's economy and puts the proposed budget in an historical context.
Estimates cover, in detail, proposed spending for the new fiscal year.
